Experience

Susan brings over 30 years of experience in large-scale asset management and the built environment sector, enabling the development of long-cycle capital projects. Most recently, Susan was Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Mirvac Group, a leading development and management property group, for over a decade. Prior to this, she was Managing Director at LaSalle Investment Management, and held senior executive positions at MGPA, Macquarie Group and Lendlease Corporation.

• Draws on over a decade of experience as a CEO of a major listed entity to provide the People & Remuneration Committee with a rigorous perspective on executive performance and corporate culture.
• Valuable institutional investor perspectives as well as a deep understanding of global financial governance and capital markets.
• Transformational leadership experience in cultural change and sustainability that contribute to Rio Tinto’s cultural transformation and decarbonization strategies.
• Expert insight into corporate architecture and institutional governance, strengthening the Board’s long-term strategic decision-making.

Chair of both the Australian National Housing Supply & Affordability Council and the Australian Centre for Gender Equality and Inclusion @ Work Advisory Board. Non-Executive Director of Macquarie Group, Trustee of the Sydney Opera House Trust, Global Board member at INSEAD and Fellow of the University of Sydney Senate including Chair of the Senate Building and Estates Committee.
